The Rehearsal Video Clip is Here! :-)

OK,

Bria finally had her dance recital this past weekend! It was a first for both of us and I think Bria faired much better than I did! haha

Her class of 4 little girls was combined with the another class of 4 little girls to make a performance group of 8 all together. They were ADORABLE! Their costumes were BEAUTIFUL! And I think each little girl in every group must have truly felt like a princess! :-)

Bria was very serious and concentrated very hard. She said it was a little scary seeing all of those people out in the audience. However, she didn't mess up once and stayed on target with all of her steps! She did very, very well!

And Sitty remembered flowers! Which made Bria feel all the more special! She's keeping them in a vase in her bedroom. :-) In this last photo, she had rubbed her eye and smudged her makeup. There weren't any tears.

Here's a video clip of the rehearsal since no pictures nor video was allowed the day of the recital. Notice the stellar concentration on Bria's face!

For my part... I learned how to store and transport a costume upside down so as to preserve the tutu; how to apply "stage" makeup to a 5 yr old; how to get Bria half dressed and buckled into the booster seat for the ride to the show and then into her costume in a crowded backstage dressing area ready to go ON TIME!; and last but not least, I learned how to get baby fine hair slicked up into a single bun on top of the most sensitive scalp in the world! and w/out any "whispies" escaping!

(the parents were yelled at errr "lectured" during the rehearsal about there being too many "whispies" visible on the kids. Luckily I wasn't one of the "offending" parents that time. )

How precious was that?!!! Oh my goodness, what a beautiful ballerina. Fantastic job Bria! Great job JoAnn keeping those whispies at bay.

What a beautiful dancer. Tell Bria that I want her to show me the dance next time I see her.

What a great job Bria! You should be very proud of yourself! Maybe you'll be following in your Auntie's footsteps...I mean dance steps.

I still have my tap shoes...
