I know... It's been FOREVER since I posted!!

Hi Everybody,

It's been way too long since I posted
anything here on this blog. Here are some photos of the past two
months. I'll post more again later. :-)

In early September, we joined Mommom at a fall festival.
The kids especially loved the miniature ponies.

In early October, Emelie and I joined our previous neighbors for a trip to the zoo! Here you can see Meredith, Bria, Owen, and CJ (in the white hat)

Here are the kids again. I thought this was a cute pic of the 5 of them. Bria and Meredith are the same age, CJ and Sean (far left) are the same age, Owen (blue shirt) is between the girls and the younger boys in age. They all get along great!

Here's the float we entered into our Homecoming parade for our 25 year HS reunion! haha That's me and Emelie sitting up there. Bria and two other little girls are sitting in front of us but you can barely see their heads in this photo. The final photo is of Chris and me at the reception Saturday night. We had a great time! We did a slide show too which was a big hit at the reception. Special thanks to Chris's father for loaning us the projector! :-)

A New Do!

Emma left some soft curlers behind and Bria found them the other day. She wanted to put all of them in her hair and sleep in them all night! I tip-toed into her room after she was asleep and took them out because I was afraid she'd get a stiff neck or something. :-) She was not happy with me the next morning! haha

Oh But To SLEEP!!

OK, we've were home from vacation for 3 weeks and I'm ready to go on another one -- just to sleep!

Not only did I not sleep well the week of Vacation Bible School (VBS) w/its evening sessions and of course CJ's "superman" antics, but last week brought no relief in the sleep department either.

Both kids came down with a bad summer cold complete w/high fever, congestion and sore throats!! The Dr. thinks it's another bout of Hand/Foot/Mouth virus, great! Bria got it first, probably from VBS, then CJ got it next. Meaning mommy got to play nurse - especially in the middle of the night - all week long!!

Now Chris and Emelie have it and have been struggling through as best they can.

I'm hoping and praying that we're all finally back on track this weekend.
Ha... fingers crossed!

Mr Booboo Head

Not to be outdone by his sister's excitement with Vacation Bible School, CJ decided to create some excitement of his own by taking a flying leap off of the bed and landing on his head!

Whatever possessed him to do that we'll never know! He might have been trying to dive into a pillow and just missed by a long shot...

Regardless, he ran fast enough and landed hard enough at such an angle that I dialed 911 immediately! One of those situations where you are glad to hear them screaming because that means they're still breathing!!!

Once the EMT's arrived, he started smiling and answering their questions as if nothing had happened! He particularly liked their two-way radios and cried when they left.

After checking him over they didn't think it was necessary to take him into the ER, I just had instructions to watch him for anything unusual over the next 24-48 hrs... Of course I HAD to research head & neck injuries on the web after that and succeeded in scaring myself half to death with all of the possibilities on what could happen within those 24-48 hrs or even weeks later!! (another reason to lose sleep )

Vacation Bible School

Bria went to Vacation Bible School (VBS)... an evening session... for 5 days. It was a western ranch theme and the councelors wore bandanas and cowboy hats. The kids had a blast, sang songs, danced, watched videos, made crafts, and jumped in a moonbounce every night!.

Plus, they learned about Jesus and the Bible along the way.

Here's a picture of Bria and her team captain having some fun.

I went along every evening too... so I was a bit worn out by the end of the 5 days. However, I'd have to say it was worth it!
